Kit Eakle is a jazz violinist and founding producer of Point Richmond Jazz. Kit has been playing the violin since the age of 8 (a LONG time ago!) and has  played with artists of widely varying styles: from Howard Alden to David LaFlamme, from Dan Hicks to Taj Mahal.

 

He has also been an educator for 35 years, teaching music and violin at all levels and has designed curriculum for the Province of British Columbia, and the Kennedty Center in Washington D.C.

 

He has made a lifelong study of jazz violinists, and currently is developing a course at the California Jazz Conservatory on String Players and their Role in Jazz.
